I found this really cool mash-up Pocahontas and Avatar Trailer. It uses all the scenes from the Pocahontas and the sound clip from the Avatar trailer and it shows how similar both of these movies are. I think the person who made this had too much time on their hands, but it is a great trailer. This brings back the memories where everyone was running around in Pocahontas costumes when it came out, now everyone will be running around in Avatar costumes. Well, Enjoy!

Another Hot for Halloween 2010: Iron Man 2 Costumes!

This year is definitely the year of the sequels. With the Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story 3, Harry Potter 7, Twilight 3, Shrek 4, and Iron Man 2 coming out, it seems like Hollywood is raking in the money while these names are hot. Iron Man 2 is definitely going to be one of the biggest movies coming out this year. The success of 2008’s Iron Man, Iron Man 2 was instantly renewed for a sequel. War Machine will play a big role in this movie from the tease we got from the first movie. In Iron Man 2, Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark, Don Cheadle will take over the role of Lt. Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes or War Machine, Mickey Rourke as Ivan Vanko or Whiplash, Gwyneth Paltrow will reprise as Virginia “Pepper” Potts, and the sexy Scarlett Johansson will play Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow. The plot for Iron Man 2 is the following: Now that the world is aware that Tony Stark is Iron Man, there is pressure from the government, the press, and the general public to share his Iron Man technology with the military.

Iron Man 2 costumes are definitely going to be the best costumes for Halloween 2010. With new Iron man costumes, new War machine costumes, Whiplash costumes, Black Widow costumes, these are going to look great. I found some interesting pictures of a fan made War Machine costume. Toy Story 3 Costumes Coming Out Very Soon!

With the success of the first 2 Toy Story’s and millions of merchandise sold, we are long due for another Toy Story movie. This time it is going to be in 3D!!! In Toy Story 3, Andy is heading off to college and leaves his favorite toys, Woody and Buzz Lightyear at home. Not knowing what to do, they try to figure out what their future will hold. After they get accidentally donated to a daycare center, they meet new toy friends like Lots-O’-Huggin’ Lotso Bear, Mr. Pricklepants the Porcupine, and a smooth-talking Ken doll. Will they get reunited with Andy or will they get torn apart by 4 year olds? We will have to wait until this summer when it comes out. We are waiting to find out what new Toy Story 3 costumes will be coming out this year. You know they are going to have new costumes for Woody and definitely new Buzz Lightyear costumes. Get Ready for the A-Team: Heroes For Hire!

They are finally bringing back the A-Team! I use to watch this TV show when I was younger and I hope the new A-Team movie brings the TV show justice. The A-Team is about crazy adventures of three United States soldiers who were falsely arrested for a crime they did not commit. After they escape from military prison, Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Sgt. B.A. “Bad Attitude” Baracus, and Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock join forces to be a team of soldiers and heroes for hire. Another Hot for Halloween 2010: Alice in Wonderland Costumes!

There is already a huge hype for the new Alice in Wonderland movie, sequel to Lew Carroll’s original stories Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Tim Burton’s re-imagination is taking Alice to the next level. With Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, he looks sinister and crazy. I can’t wait to see what character Tim Burton and Johnny Depp creates next. In Alice in Wonderland, Alice Kingsley, who is played by Mia Wasikowska, is now 19 and is attending her own engagement party that she is unaware of. As Lord Hamish Ascot proposes to Alice, she spots a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch. Alice then chases after the White Rabbit and eventually falls into the Underland or Wonderland. She had forgotten that she had visited this place 10 years earlier. Alice reunited with her childhood friends, including the Mad Hatter, and she discovers that they need her to help them overthrow the Red Queen, played by Helena Bonham Carter, who has taken over Wonderland from the White Queen, played by Anne Hathaway. The costumes for all the characters in Alice in Wonderland look totally amazing and can’t wait for theses to come out. Attention! We Have A Major News Broadcast: Anchorman Costumes!

I just got word that they are finally releasing costumes for the 2004 Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy costumes. It has been a long time coming and we, here, at Costume Host are anxious to see how these will look like. I have heard there is a Anchorman Ron Burgundy costume but have not heard yet of the other characters: Veronica Corningstone costume, Brian Fantana costume, Champ Kind costume, or Brick Tamland costume. I hope they release those too. I will put the images up when I get them.

Anchorman is about Ron Burgundy, San Diego’s number 1 news anchor, whose co-reporters include: Veronica Corningstone, female co-anchor, Brian Fantana, field reporter, Champion Kind, sportscaster, and Brick Tamland, chief meteorologist. In the sexist world, there has never been a female anchor and when Ron Burgundy is threatened by his female counterpart, things go crazy. He loses his job, his dog gets kicked off a bridge, his insanity, and he even fights a bear. This hilarious movie is a must see and has won many awards for “Best Movie Ever Made”. Haha

Hot for Halloween 2010: Avatar, The Last Airbender Costumes!

Whatever nation you want to be part of this Halloween: Fire, Water, Earth, or Air, you know Avatar, The Last Airbender costumes will be a hot seller. Avatar: The Last Airbender is about a world where the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air can be controlled by special people called “Benders”. M. Night Shyamalan is directing the movie and is inspired by the cartoon “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. The Fire Nation is waging a war to take over the other nations. Noah Ringer, who plays the main character Aang, is a young boy and the last of the his race, the Airbenders Nomads or Airbenders. Aang is the Avatar who is a “bender” who can control all four elements and have the combined power of all previous Avatars. It is up to Katara, a Waterbender played by Nicola Peltz, Sokka, played by Jackson Rathbone, and Aang to fight and prevent the Fire Nation from succeeding in this war. Fire Nation Admiral, Zhao, played by Aasif Mandvi, and Prince Zuko, played by Dev Patel, try to use the Avatar for themselves. I have previewed some of the costumes and they look great. The Biggest Lightsaber Fight Takes Place in a Mall!

Wow, Flashmob organizers created the biggest Lightsaber fight in a mall in Bristol, England. This event occurred about 2 weeks ago. It would be great if they were dressed up in Jedi costumes or other Star Wars Costumes.

Shocking BioShock Big Daddy Costume!

One is the best storytelling video games in 2007, BioShock took the video game world by storm. This game invented a new way of storytelling for first person shooter games. The player plays as Jack, the only survivor of a 1960s plane crash in the Atlantic Ocean. In this alternate reality, there is a place underwater called the Rapture. It is a mysterious world where you have to play through the game and piece together what happened and who you are. As Jack goes along, he survives by using plasmids and extract ADAM from Little Sisters. Little Sisters are scary little girls with Big Daddy robots as their guardian. It is a scary game. You later find out that your character is born in the Rapture and obeys all commands that start with “Would you kindly…?” I don’t want to spoil the rest of the story for you. BioShock 2 just came out. Hopefully it is an outstanding story like its predecessor. I found some amazing fan made BioShock costumes. One is a costume of BioShock’s Big Daddy and along with a scary looking girl in a Little Sister BioShock costume. The costumes do look a little over the line, so I also found a low budget Big Daddy costume for BioShock. HAHA. Enjoy!

Hot for Halloween 2010: Clash of the Titans Costumes!

Clash of the Titans is going to be a mega-blockbuster movie. With Sam Worthington (Avatar movie), playing Perseus, a god raised as a human, going on a dangerous mission to defeat Hades. Hades is the god of the underworld trying to take power away from Zeus. Perseus has nothing to lose and has to fight through unholy demons and unimaginable beasts to accomplish his mission. The trailer looks amazing and I can’t even imagine on how nice the Halloween costumes are going to be. The movie will consists of many famous gods and deities from Greek mythology like Zeus, Hades, Andromea, Athena, Draco, Acrisius, Io, Poseidon, Ares, and Medusa. The Kraken will appear in it too and sure does it look nasty. Hope they have Clash of the Titan costumes for a lot of these characters. The armor of Perseus is definitely going to be a nice Clash of the Titan costume. Here’s the trailer and Clash of the Titan Perseus costume:

Will Tron Leave a Legacy? And Glow in the Dark Costumes!

In 1982, a movie came out that was so remarkable and out of this world. Tron took the movie world, computer world, and video game world to the next level. Tron was about a tech-savvy computer guy, Kevin Flynn, getting sucked into a computer system to play a game of survival and to defeat the mainframe computer. Now, it might seem like a stereotypic, corny movie but back then, it was totally different and radical on what computers can do. Everyone wanted to play in Tron and wanted to be dressed up in glow in the dark Tron costumes. Tron Legacy is the sequel 20 years in the making. This film is about Kevin Flynn’s son who searches for his father and then finding that he has been living in the computer that sucked him in for 25 years. This year will definitely have hot costumes for Tron Legacy. Enjoy this trailer and pictures of Tron costumes made by fans. Can’t wait for this movie!

Purim: The Second Time of the Year to Wear a Halloween Costume!

Purim is a highly celebrated holiday to the Jewish faith. The holiday consists of parties with kids and adults wearing costumes. There are four main mitzvoth for Purim:

3. Giving charity to the poor.
4. Eating a festive meal.
Everyone dresses up for Purim. Popular children costumes for Purim are Magen David, Kings, Mordechai, Menorah Man, Shabba Queens, Chasid, and Rabbis.

Fan Made Costumes for Lost: The Final Season!

Last week, one of the most anticipated shows of TV premiered its final season. Lost is one of the most intriguing and intellectual tv shows to date. It is about a group of survivors on a deserted island but later discovers it is not so deserted. There are polar bears, mysterious hatches, the Dharma Initiatives, smoke monster, godlike beings, people who do not seem to age, and 4 8 15 16 23 42. The show covers many different subjects like physics, time travel, love, mythology, and religion. Internet geeks and forum users have created thousands of different theories on what and how the show will progess next. So I am wondering why there is no licensed Lost costumes. Disney should definitly create Lost costumes for this coming season, now that its going to be over. I want to be in a Dharma initiative jumpsuit.

What’s your favorite character on Lost? The mysterious John Locke is my favorite character. Even though he is dead since the 5th season, the producers made him come back as MIB (smoke monster).
